Dr. Edelson is a licensed clinical psychologist with a Doctorate and a Masters degree in clinical psychology and is a licensed psychologist in the state of California. Dr. Edelson specializes in stress and anxiety, including OCD, and is a graduate of the International OCD Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Edelson is a pain specialist in the Kaiser Oakland Pain Medicine Department. She is the site director and Director of Psychological Services for the Stanford University based KP Empower study. She has expertise treating all types of stress-based illness as well as chronic pain conditions. She has expertise in the treatment of women’s pelvic pain conditions, including general pain in the pelvic region and pain with sex and was the pelvic pain psychologist at San Francisco in the clinic of Dr. Jen Gunter. Dr. Edelson volunteered in Bosnia and Croatia (‘97, ‘98, ‘99) providing conflict resolution training to children survivors of the war in the former Yugoslavia. She feels passionately about the intersection between mental and physical health.
